BRAND STORY

“Keep It Simple and Seasonal” is my guiding principle. To be healthy, you don’t need to eat fancy foods; instead, you just need to eat in moderation, learn portion control, include a few nutritious foods, and make a few lifestyle changes such as lowering your stress levels and better managing your sleep cycle.

Eating a variety of nutritious foods helps to ensure that your body receives the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients it requires to function properly.

If you have high cholesterol, you should avoid foods high in cholesterol and saturated fats. Foods like fatty cuts of meat, whole-milk dairy products, processed meats, and fried foods fall into this category.

Shopping for ingredients that are in season and on sale, planning meals ahead of time, and stocking up on staples such as frozen vegetables, whole grains, and beans can help you make healthy meal choices on a budget. Finally, look for coupons for healthy items and cook meals at home instead of eating out.

Many plant-based foods, such as beans and legumes, nuts and seeds, whole grains, vegetables, and soy products, are high in protein. Plant-based proteins can be found in black beans, lentils, quinoa, tofu, tempeh, almond butter, and edamame. Additionally, protein-rich foods such as nuts, seeds, and nut butter can help you meet your protein requirements.

Roasted chickpeas, roasted peanuts, poha, idli, upma, homemade bhel puri, roasted chana dal, roasted makhana (lotus seeds), vegetable cutlets, and khakras are some healthy Indian snacks you can keep on hand.

Detoxing has become popular, but it is not required for good health. There is no scientific evidence that detoxes are beneficial to one’s health.  To maintain good health, instead of detoxing, focus on eating a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep.
